Therapy for Individuals
The Personal Experience of Therapy
Many people seek individual therapy to assist with processing issues of a personal nature to include . . .
- Depression
- Anxiety
- PTSD/Trauma
- Work or Career related stress
- Long-term or chronic illness
- Grief and Bereavement
- Adjustment issues
- Divorce and relationship difficulties
Although many people seek therapy to assist with similar issues, the process of therapy is a personal experience that is unique to the individual seeking the service. It is also true that there are many different approaches a therapist may take when working with a client. It is of great importance that the client feels the therapist is not only professionally qualified to provide the service, but is also capable of providing a safe and non-judgmental environment where change will be possible. By the time most people walk into a therapist’s office, they have tried many resources to no avail. My primary goal with my clients is to create that space, opportunity, and context where insight and growth can happen as efficiently as possible. I use thoroughly researched modalities and best practices in my approach to providing therapy to include but not limited to. . .
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) / Behavior Modification
- Solution Focused Therapy
- Family Systems
- Play Therapy
- Relaxation Exercises
- Mindfulness and Affect Regulation skill building
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Regardless of the presenting issue, there is no one size fits all approach to therapy.
